Seven Cryptical Books of Hsan

Ch’i Pen Shu Hsieh Le Tsui An (Seven Cryptical Books of Hsan)

Seven Cryptical Books attributed to a mysterious scholar, is a set of ancient Chinese scrolls that are at least 2000 years old in their original version, and likely far older. Most collections of this tome are missing at least one or two of the books. The copy that was found in 1922 during an excavation into the first Chinese emperor had the rare and illusive 5th scroll. This 5th scroll contains the passages that relate to the Eye of Light and Darkness, including the spells necessary to find a gate and seal gates. Through out the text, a great spirit is referred to as the Bloated Woman, but she is only one of many forms.

Written in Ancient Chinese. Skimming the book grants the reader 2 pool points to any Investigative ability involving China or dreams. Poring over the book gives +1 Cthulhu Mythos and access to the spells. Magical potential is 2. This version contains the following spells: Contact the Bloated Woman, Create Hyperspace Gate, Elder Sign, Eye of Light and Darkness, Find Gate.
